I have made it to Bodenseehof. The journey was a bit more rough than expected but I managed to find someone to help me every step of the way. I got a good night's sleep last night in Hotel Goldener Hirsch, and this morning I got to school.
Although I have only seen Friedrichshafen through the window of an auto, I think I already love it here. There are trees everywhere and it is beautiful. The lake, which I onlz (I realize this is spelled incorrectly but on German keyboards the z and the y key are switched around and I still haven't gotten used to it!) caught a glimpse of, is huge and glorious.
Well, this is all for now, I will share more about about my crazy journey later.

London!
So, KK's on her way to London, to eat pasties in honour (yes, hono"u"r) of Brother Matty, Brother-in-law Roberto, and Sissy Me. Then she'll be able to catch a flight to Munich and continue on as planned, delayed by only a few hours.
She's calm and fine.
She'll be in touch soon.

Missed flight: travel adventure
(May the free-spirit that was in Christian be in you!)
Due to the delayed first flight and not running a fast enough mile through the Philly airport, Kate is now on a different flight through Heathrow (familiar to her) and then to Munich. She'll arrive later, and the baggage situation is sketch, but she should be able to make it to the hotel in Friedrichshafen before they shut down for the night, at 23'00hh. She'll surely be sick of the khakis that she's wearing, but she'll be flying high on sticky bun sugar. Wahoo!

En route
Sister Amy here. Kate is somewhere between Chicago and Philly and Munich. Her first flight was very delayed, which is going to be a problem, since she had less than an hour to catch her flight to Germany. However, the good news is that her luggage will most likely get temporarily lost, which means that she'll be able to travel "light" to her school's town. And then, her bags will be delivered to her doorstep. Nice. There is usually a positive side to travel mishaps, no?
As I learn more, I'll post.

Me too!

Well, I tried my best. I, Amy, want to go too! First, I took all, all, of Kate's clothes and put them in the wash so that all she had to wear were some scrubs intended for a much taller and much wider doctor. Then, I put myself into her duffle. Really, if I had stretched first, I could have gotten the zipper closed. But, alas, all of my attempts failed. Kate is off to Deutschland, with most of her clothes, and I will be living vicariously through her for the next several months. Bon voyage!
My last supper

Tonight, as you can see, was spent at Mo's in Milwaukee with dear friends and family. We enjoyed some delicious dinner and tried (yes, only tried) to play trivia. (Sara, come home!)
Tomorrow afternoon I'm heading off to Germany, with only two tightly packed bags of my most prized worldly possessions, via Philadelphia. I'll spend one night in Friedrichshafen, before heading to school on Friday.
I'll be attending a six-month, intensive Bible school and here I hope to keep you informed of my glorious Deutschland adventures.
